The starting point for your visit to Ashdown Forest, the Forest Centre’s Information Barn has everything you need to help you plan your day. The café stocks a range of gifts and souvenirs. Public toilets and a Changing Places facility are also available. It is open seven days a week (opening times at weekends are subject to change so check the website for details).

High Weald Dairy on the edge of Ashdown Forest produces a wide range of cheeses are made using locally produced milk.
Cheeses can be purchased from the dairy between 09:00– 17:00, Monday to Friday.
Laurel Tree Farm was traditionally a mixed farm with dairy cows, hops and fruit until 1947. In 1949 the late David Lewis planted the farm with dessert apples and pears with many experimental varieties. J B Stogdon rationalised the planting and concentrated on Cox and Cherry Cox – which is now unique to Laurel Tree Farm. In 1959 Newlands Farm was acquired and planted with Bramleys and Howgate Wonder.
The Bluebell Railway operates historic steam trains on a 22-mile return trip between Sheffield Park and East Grinstead, calling at Horsted Keynes and Kingscote. In addition to a calendar of passenger services and special events, the railway also runs dining trains including afternoon tea, evening dining and fish and chip specials.
