This historic Jacobean building was created for Richard Sackville, Earl of Dorset in 1609, as an almshouse and accommodation for the Sackville family. See the chapel quadrangle, banqueting hall, minstrels’ gallery and the Warden’s study where the carol Good King Wenceslas was composed.
