About Nutley Edge Cottages

Welcome to Nutley Edge Cottages. We are a beautiful rural property overlooking the stunning landscape of the Ashdown Forest. Set on over 11 acres of rolling hills and pastures, we provide top-quality self-catering holiday accommodation, glamping, conferencing facilities and venue hire for weddings, functions and other events.

Choose from twelve bright, spacious, open-plan cottages that each sleep up to four people, perfect for a relaxing getaway.  You can also combine the cottages with our 17th century farmhouse, which sleeps eight, providing the ideal base for a conference, wedding, event or party.  Ask us about our wedding packages.  We have space on-site for a marquee and can offer excellent recommendations for local caterers.   

Our accommodation is suitable for groups, families and those with disabilities. We have two fully wheelchair-accessible cottages. We welcome dogs in our cottages.

Our conference and event facilities centre around the Old Farmhouse, which has been totally transformed into a vibrant multi-use events space that is perfect for seminars, meetings, retreats, family parties and so much more. Combined with the upstairs en-suite bedrooms and a few of our beautifully-appointed cottages, Nutley Edge makes the ideal base for a residential conference, seminar or away-day. When booking ‘The Willows’ you get our two 5 metre bell tents sleeping 4 in each, both tents are furnished to provide you with a cosy, slightly luxurious glamping experience. Situated in our lower paddock the glamping area is fenced off for your privacy with views facing over to our ancient gill wood and wildlife pond.

A solar powered compostable toilet is in situ in the glamping area and for convenience has a mobile phone docking unit for those of you that cannot bear to go with a full ‘digital detox.’ Our shower block is situated at the top of the site just a 5 minute stroll away, incorporating two individual shower units, toilets and hand basins.

Cars are unable to reach the glamping area as the car park is at the top of the site but don’t worry you will be assigned your very own wheelbarrow to carry your gear down to your tent.
Please note there is no mains electricity in the glamping area.

Nutley Edge Cottages is operated by Outward, a charity that supports people with learning disabilities, as well as other vulnerable groups, so you can be confident that all profits from your stay with us will go to fund holidays and activities for vulnerable adults and families.
