The Civic Centre is home to Uckfield Town Council, Luxfords Restaurant, seven function rooms of various sizes available to hire and the Weald Hall where several events are held each year. The Civic Centre also hires out the council’s other venues: Foresters Hall, Luxford Field and the sports pitches at West Park and Victoria Pleasure Ground. The Civic Centre is conveniently situated in the heart of the town, just off the High Street with a free adjacent public car park. There is disabled access to both ground and first floors and free wi-fi available throughout the building.
The Civic Centre also participates in the Community Toilet Scheme.
As part of the drive to make Uckfield plastic free, the Civic Centre is also part of the National Refill Campaign. It provides a water refill station in the foyer offering chilled and filtered tap water for members of the public to refill their reusable plastic bottles.
LUXFORDS RESTAURANT
Luxfords Restaurant is a friendly licenced restaurant serving freshly made food in relaxed and spacious surroundings. The restaurant is open 9.30am –3.00pm, Monday to Saturday and serves coffee, homemade cakes, hot and cold daily specials, lunches including light bites, sandwiches and much more. Situated just inside the Civic Centre, the restaurant has wheelchair and pram/buggy access and free Wi-Fi access.
The restaurant can also be hired for evening functions, dinners, drinks and canapes.
