Bluebell season has started!

The Ashdown Forest is one of THE places in the south east to see bluebells in all their glory!

Visit Heaven Farm and take the bluebell trail. There are still loads of anemones to see and the bluebells are are now nearly in full bloom. See carpets of bluebells in the shade as you walk through the woods. Then enjoy a cream tea in the lovely cafe. and don’t forget to collect a stamp on your AFTA map for a chance to win this months prize. www.heavenfarm.co.uk

Horam Manor Farm has a lovely #BluebellTrail that goes through the wooded areas and around the lovely fishing lakes.. Enjoy carpets of bluebells in amongst the lovely fresh green leaves of the trees. After your walk relax with a picnic around the lakes or visit the cafe for lunch or afternoon tea! www.horammanorfarm.co.uk
Bluebell Vineyard is another lovely place to see bluebells!  Follow the trails through the vineyard and enjoy great carpets of bluebells! Then why not drop into the vineyard showroom to sample some lovely international wines! www.bluebellvineyard.co.uk

One of my favourite places on the Forest is Chelwood Vachery. At this time of year it is lovely to park just off the A22 at the Vachery Car Park and wander down through great carpets of bluebells to the peace and tranquillity of the Vachery! While there, can you solve the mystery of what the strange structures are in the water? Pack a picnic and enjoy the peace during the expected hot weather over the Easter weekend.!

Enjoy the stunning displays of Bluebells over the next few weeks – sadly they don’t last long!
